Commercial Video Kamloops

STIR MAKER | KMK LIVING INC.

Meet Kevin from KMK Living Inc.

Kevin is another incredible Kamloops ‘Stir Maker’, featured in the video series we’re creating with the Kamloops Food Policy Council to promote The Stir - a new local food hub, designed to help local culinary entrepreneurs take the next step to scale up their food business and bring their products to market.

KMK Living Inc. specializes in the production of fermented beverages, including Kombucha, Jun Tea and Water Kefir. We had a fantastic time capturing Kevin in action, while he brewed and bottled a fresh batch of ‘Wild Mountain Jun’. If you haven’t had a chance to try these beverages yet, be sure to head to the KMK Living Inc. website to place your order or find a local retail location.

STIR MAKER | ENCHANTED ARTISAN COOKIES

We recently had the opportunity to work with the Kamloops Food Policy Council in creating a series of videos promoting The Stir - a new Kamloops food hub, designed to help local culinary entrepreneurs take the next step to scale up their food business and bring their products to market.

It was an absolute blast working with Stir Maker, Lisha Belliveau from Enchanted - Artisan Cookies on this particular video…each and every one of her cookies is a beautifully designed work of art, and her passion and love for what she does is so inspiring!

SUN PEAKS INDEPENDENT NEWS

We always LOVE the excuse to spend time up at Sun Peaks, especially when it involves filming the beautiful scenery and friendly locals! We recently had the opportunity to work on this project for Sun Peaks Independent News or SPIN (as the locals know it). SPIN is a local news organization that has been an integral part of residents' lives for 20 years! They cover all of the important news items, local events and stories both big and small, that take place in and around the community.

If you're a Sun Peaks local or a non-local who likes to keep up with all the latest community news, make sure you head to the SPIN website and show your support by signing up for a monthly membership subscription - you'll be in good company with locals like former gold-medal Olympian Nancy Greene Raine! Let's ensure this fantastic organization is able to continue delivering great local news for many years to come.

TRU | Fund-A-Need Campaign Video

We are thrilled to hear that Thompson Rivers University's Fund-A-Need campaign for animal simulators has nearly doubled its fundraising goal!

Earlier this year, we were involved in creating the video for this campaign, showcasing TRU's veterinary technician program and aiding in the university’s fundraising efforts towards purchasing valuable simulation equipment for the students.

We absolutely love being involved with meaningful projects like this, and knowing that the stories we tell can have such a positive impact on people, namely the staff and students at TRU.

BC Wildlife Park | Grizzly Bear Story

Happy World Bear Day! #WorldBearDay

We're celebrating by sharing this Grizzly Bear story with you.

Dawson and Knute are permanent residents of the BC Wildlife Park because they were orphaned at a very young age. The team at the Wildlife Park felt this video was an especially valuable one to create, because it highlights the importance of keeping bears away from our food sources (including garbage).

Unfortunately, as soon as a bear learns of a readily available human food source, they can't unlearn this behaviour, which can sadly result in the bear needing to be euthanized. This is something to keep in mind, as we move into Spring and see bears coming out of hibernation.

TCSC | Payne Family Story

Happy New Year Everyone! We hope 2022 is off to a great start for you so far.

We took some time-off from social media over the holiday break, but now we are back and ready to dive into all of the exciting projects this new year has in store for us.

Did anyone have 'improve my health & fitness' on their list of resolutions?! If so, we hope this story inspires you to take the plunge and start your journey - no matter what age or fitness level you may be at!

Meet the Paynes, who recently moved from Prince George to Kamloops.

Grace Payne was looking to continue the crossfit journey she started back in PG, so she attended a TCSC Kamloops class and was immediately hooked.

When Grace started frequenting TCSC, her mom Brenda was drawn to the community at the gym and eventually joined herself, and from there, the rest of the Payne family trickled in. Now all four of the Payne's attend the same gym, the same classes, at the same time...and they love it!

RIH Foundation | Holiday Campaign Video

Warning: Tear Jerker!

“The nurses and medical staff in the ICU and 5 North saved my life on multiple occasions. Along with the lifesaving care I received, they showed me patience and kindness in my time of greatest need.” - Laura Drennan.

Laura suffered a life threatening Hemorrhagic Stroke in December of 2019 and spent 4.5 months at Royal Inland Hospital. Thankfully, her medical team was relentless in helping her recover and move forward with her life.

We hope you enjoy Laura's remarkable story, and that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy this holiday season.

TCSC | Kim's Story

Another video were lucky enough to create as part of the TCSC series.

Meet Kim - An avid crossfitter, busy mom, and lawyer who frequents Tournament Capital Strength and Conditioning.

Kim became part of the TCSC family when her original crossfit gym closed down during the pandemic, and coming to TCSC felt like the home she was looking for.

BC Wildlife Park | Wildlights Event Promo

We are LOVING working on the virtual version of the 24th Annual Wildlights for the @bcwildlifepark, and in case you haven't heard - WILDLIGHTS IS BACK in person this year!

This 24th year is set to be the biggest and BRIGHTEST year yet! With nearly 1 million lights, you won’t want to miss it.

Wildlights runs nightly from December 10th - January 3rd from 4pm - 9pm*, with lights turning on at 5pm. #staytuned for the virtual event!

BC Wildlife Park | Racoons Story

A tribute to our little furry friend Oscar the Raccoon, a former resident of the BC Wildlife Park who recently passed away

Sadly, we ended up needing to re-shoot portions of this video with the BC Wildlife Park team because the original film starred all three resident raccoons (Oscar, Chester and Beatrice), and it just didn't feel right to showcase them all, after Oscar passed away very suddenly prior to the video's release.

Sneaky Tip - If you look closely, you can still see Oscar in a few of the shots.

This one's for you Oscar...you will forever remain in our hearts, you cutie!

BC Wildlife Park | Robert The Bobcat

Happy #Caturday - Here's a video of Robert the Bobcat to make you smile.

My entire career, I have worked on honing the questions, skills, tips and tricks that help me connect with the subjects of my videos to document their stories, capture their emotion, and share it with the world…this is my passion.

Do you know where all that hard work does NOT pay off? Animals. They tend not to listen, they don't repeat actions for me, and unfortunately I can never seem to get them to tell their story

In our industry, they say “never work with animals”, but I have truly enjoyed finding a way to share their stories and why being at the BC Wildlife Park is beneficial for them.

Did you know that the majority of the animals at the BC Wildlife Park are there because they are no longer able to live in the wild? This not-for-profit organization is a rehabilitation centre for orphaned and injured wildlife. Please be sure to head to the park to visit and support the animals that live there!

#wildtimesawaityou

RIH Foundation | Doan Honorary Chair Announcement

In support of the New Patient Care Tower at the Royal Inland Hospital, Shane and Andrea Doan have been named Honorary Chairs of the 'Together We Rise' campaign, to assist the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation in achieving its $35-million fundraising goal

We hope you enjoy watching this announcement video we created, and learning more about the Doans and their love for Kamloops!

BC Wildlife Park | Burrowing Owl Story

These little guys are so CUTE!

Sadly, the Burrowing Owl population has been extirpated here in BC BUT, thankfully the BC Wildlife Park is part of the Burrowing Owl breeding program in conjunction with the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of BC ❤️‍🩹

We got to work with the BC Wildlife Park to highlight the Burrowing Owl Breeding Program - part of a series of videos we are working on, telling the stories of different animals that reside at the park

This video project was a magical and ADORABLE experience - the footage of the hatching process was collected by putting an infrared camera in an owl burrow, and we were even lucky enough to accompany the volunteers to watch the release of the burrowing owls that were bred at the park.

#staytuned for more adorable animal videos that highlight the residents of the park!

TCSC | Remote Coaching

Another video from the series we are working on with TCSC Kamloops!!

Tournament Capital Strength & Conditioning (TCSC) offers remote coaching. What does this mean? You can do it from the comfort of your own home, or your own home gym!

Whether you have a few weights and bands, or a full home gym, the TCSC team will customize a program just for you, using the equipment you have.

SMART Options | Vincent's Story

We were lucky enough to partner with Pepper - Your Business BFF on this promotional video for SMART Options Inc.

Smart Options is a government funded supportive employment agency that supports employers in hiring job seekers with developmental disabilities.

While it was great to partner with our friends at Pepper and promote such a wonderful local organization, the best part of this project by far was getting to know Vince and telling his inspiring story.

TCSC | Youth Fitness Program

This promo video is part of a series we are working on with Tournament Capital Strength & Conditioning.

The TCSC Youth Fitness Program is designed to introduce kids to the gym and improving their fitness early on, to ensure they have the tools to stay fit and healthy into adulthood.

The main goal of this this video was to capture the happiness of the kids training, but if I'm being honest there wasn't a lot of smiling going on during the workouts . However, the smiles that followed when they finished their workout, shattered a PR, or completed an exercise they previously weren't able to do were definitely worth capturing!

Return to Sport | Hockey

So far, we've shared the soccer, multi-sport, slo-pitch and baseball videos created as part of the ‘Return to Sport’ Campaign, and now - we FINALLY add Hockey to the series!!

Return to Sport is a project we've been working on with Tourism Kamloops and the City of Kamloops to welcome both athletes and spectators back to Canada's Tournament Capital

Believe me sports tourists - Kamloops can't WAIT to have you back!

Thank You Healthcare Heroes

To our healthcare workers, the heartbeat of our community.

Your hard work, your tireless efforts, your willingness to show up day after day to put others before yourselves…it does not go unnoticed and is appreciated beyond measure. We owe you more than we can fathom, and we cannot overcome this pandemic without you.

Thank you, for putting the lives of others before your own, and for persevering even when you are exhausted and feel you have nothing left to give. You are the true meaning of heroes.

Haley's Story | BC Transit

Meet Haley, Kamloops Resident and Urban Systems Ltd. employee.

When Haley began working from the office again in June of 2020, she made the decision to start taking public transit to and from work - it was free at the time, so why not try it out?!

Turns out, she loves it! Not only is she saving around $2,000 a year not paying for parking and gas for her commute, she has also made great connections while strolling through her neighbourhood and with the drivers on her route. Plus, the spare time while riding the bus allows her some downtime to relax and catch up on her digital life.

This video is part of a series we’ve been working on with BC Transit and City of Kamloops, as a means of encouraging the Kamloops community to take public transit and view it in a new, more positive light.

Mel's Story | BC Transit

Meet Mel (what a Gem!)

Mel lives with a rare genetic condition known as Retinitis Pigmentosa, so he only has between 2-5% eyesight. Despite this, he volunteers at the Mount Paul Community Food Centre several times a week, helping the staff to prepare food and meals for members of the Kamloops community who need them most. Public transit allows Mel the ability to travel to and from this volunteer position on his own, providing him with invaluable freedom and independence.

Mel’s story is just one of a series of videos we are working on for the ‘Stories of Transit’ project with the City of Kamloops and BC Transit - a campaign which we hope will encourage the Kamloops community to look at public transit in a new/positive light, and hopefully integrate it into their own lives, as a means of traveling around the city
